Honeymoon to Florida

Thought I would post about my honeymoon to Florida. It was over 3 years ago but…as they say…better late than never.

We first flew from California through St. Louis to Orlando. Took a shuttle to Cocoa Beach and stayed on the water for about 3 days. Cocoa Beach, Florida was very relaxing, reminded me of Avila Beach. There wasn’t much to do since neither of us (my wife and I) were 25 so we couldn’t rent a car.

We decided one day that we would walk to where most of the shopping was about 1 mile away. As we were getting close, my wife got a blister on her foot from her sandals. We slowed down and finished the walk after a short break. When we got to the shops she bought sandals that she thought might be easier on her feet and we started the walk back after shopping for an hour.

About 5 minutes into the walk her feet were hurting too much so we flagged down a taxi and rode ($25 taxi ride) a mile and half back to our hotel.

The beach was awesome and the hotel was beautiful. We were there in February but the weather was perfect.

We went back to Orlando, went to Disneyworld then headed back to California.

We plan to go back for an anniversary one day.

Going To South Dakota

Never been to South Dakota, but my Father-in-Law moved there a few months ago.

We hope to visit Mount Rushmore and a few other landmarks. Any tips on what to see and the best places to go? Post a comment and tell me where to go in SD!

Goodbye GoDaddy.com

After seeing GoDaddy’s ads on the Super Bowl, I’ve had enough…Sexually offensive advertising and a blatant disregard for morality will force me to move to another registrar…now I have to pick a different one.

Here is the email I sent them, and I will also call them on the phone to express my disgust for their ads…you should let them know as well

I emailed their customer service and they gave me president@godaddy.com for the president’s office. I emailed there as well.

I just wanted to let you know how much I disapprove of the advertising I’ve seen on TV recently, especially during the Super Bowl…Advertising like this is definitely a big enough reason for me to switch to one of your competitiors.

I know with only 50 domains it won’t hurt you financially, but I can’t justify supporting sexually offensive advertising with my money.

The war on American soldiers vs. pro sports athletes

Why do athletes make so much money for playing a game while soldiers get paid so little to risk their lives and protect our country?

If we didn’t go to the games, nor watch them on TV, nor buy any merchandise, professional athletes would just be grown up boys playing ball in the front yard…

Is it their fault they get paid millions to play? Is it our, the fans, fault for perpetuating the situation? Is it the exec’s fault for maximizing their profit by paying the best players an outrageous amount of money to win?

It is a vicious circle full of fault, but also full of blame.

None the less, the soldiers are getting the short straw in this area. They risk their lives, get paid little, then have these idiots on the nightly news say how stupid the war is. Then the next night they talk about soldier morale.

We have some great men serving our country (some even on this site)…now we just need to modify a few of these ridiculous free speech laws that allow anybody to say anything about our soldiers, while the soldiers are out protecting the very free speech laws that are used to slander them.
