After seeing GoDaddy’s ads on the Super Bowl, I’ve had enough…Sexually offensive advertising and a blatant disregard for morality will force me to move to another registrar…now I have to pick a different one.
Here is the email I sent them, and I will also call them on the phone to express my disgust for their ads…you should let them know as well
I emailed their customer service and they gave me president@godaddy.com for the president’s office. I emailed there as well.
I just wanted to let you know how much I disapprove of the advertising I’ve seen on TV recently, especially during the Super Bowl…Advertising like this is definitely a big enough reason for me to switch to one of your competitiors.
I know with only 50 domains it won’t hurt you financially, but I can’t justify supporting sexually offensive advertising with my money.

I agree! I’m switching as well.
Let me know who you find.
Joe, NameCheap.com from here on out.
Brandon,
Today my site started crashing and stopped loading. It appears to be related to the database server and after contacting GoDaddy I was told that “WordPress is not an ideal solution for most users” and that I may want to locate better blogging software.
As you can imagine, it’s time for me to find a new host. Who did you end up going with and are you happy with the choice?
Great! I dropped GoDaddy as well. Overrated anyway.
Glad to see another Christian brother who sees money the way I do, as a tool only. I can’t tell you how many times Christian family members tell me “money is the root of all evil”. they like to conveniently leave off the “the love of money” part. that what happens when tradition and family upbringing replace truth with “religion”
It’s refreshing to see others who recognize what is right and care about the company they keep. While I recognize that the folks at GoDaddy have the right to make poor decisions, I as well have the right to not be assosciated with
them after 7 years of having them as part of my business.
I too think of money the same way. I am but a funnel for the blessings of Our Lord to be used to further expand His kingdom whether they be financial or otherwise.
I love the aquarium pic.
Paul, Agreed. I only have 1 domain left with Godaddy. Namecheap has over 100 of them now.
Brandon, I hear you and I have been troubled by more than one thing at GoDaddy. I also used Dotster and have since about 2000.
One note of interest; because you are serving Google AdSense ads, this blog post is actually promoting GoDaddy. At first I was wondering why I was seeing a display ad, then it all made sense when I saw the Google AdSense footer.
Best regards,
Anthony
