Alright, I always see these sites that are “established” with “income” listed for sale. Normally they don’t sell, but I always see them.
You know, the text says stuff like, “Have you ever wanted to run your own online business from the comfort of your own home with the potential to make over $100k per year but did,nt know where to start. If so then you have come to the right place. This is your chance to bid on a popular proven real ecommerce website business and not an amateur maybe it might make you money website that is found on so many auction.”
Here is one such scammy, scummy, site for sale. What I don’t like about them can be found in the following picture:
Now “scam” might be a strong word, but Merriam-Webster says scam is defined as, “a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation”.
So saying that the appriasal for this website is $22,400 is definintely deceptive. The website is worth $10 (domain) plus maybe $30 for an ugly template that has been used on at least 5 other identical websites.
So here is me, calling you scammers out. If your websites are really worth anything, lets have a contest. You vs. Me, Head to Head, One on One.
If your websites can make $100,000 per year like you say they can, I want to see a check!
I agree, with this guy above i have several websites that are producing very good income i have been in the website business for 7 year and i can honestly say it really does come down to marketing,i,m not making no 100k per year but i,m pretty close to it and thats only working part time.i always say, do nothing and make nothing do alot and make alot, well thats just me.take care and stop being so hard on people life is what we make it.
Richard, making money and telling people they can make money are two completely different things. I make money online as well. But I don’t try to sell crap to people while leading them to believe that without any work they’ll make $100k. It’s a lie, and if you’re making as much as you say you are (and I have no reason to doubt), I HIGHLY doubt you’re selling this kind of crap on ebay.
Hello,Brandon i would have to disagree with you i took a look at this person auction and i have to say there,s nothing misleading about it in anyways and his websites are extremely well done and compared to most if not all on eBay are better, also it is very possible to make what he claims if not more as E-books are simply one of the best online business ideas that exist today. You can create an e-book for nothing and sell it for 100% profit! Which is much better than the 10% – 25% profit offered by most traditional business. After analyzing the data from the last couple of years regarding e-books sales, you will quickly realize that the growth within the e-book industry is enormous. We’re looking at close to a 70% increases in e-books sales this quarter.if i had to choose on purchasing a website on eBay i would definitely buy his,no questions asked ,if you look at others offering google adsence alone you and i know there no way in hell your going to get rich of google alone you need millions of clicks just to make a buck, sorry to disagree but i,m for this guy, good day Brandon
I’ve got to say Richard, you sound like the seller yourself. The site is just a duplicate of a lot of other sites as I said in the original article. With that in mind you will probably NEVER see any organic traffic. Since you won’t have any natural traffic from websites either (there is nothing of value), you’re left to pay for traffic.
Since you’re paying for traffic, you might as well send the traffic directly to a monetized landing page instead of the root domain. Therefore the website now has even less value than it did originally!
Well i,m not Brandon just a person who can see quality, and a honest opportunity ,i can see where going to disagree on this all the way..i still stand by my points..whether there duplicated or not! the potential is still there! like any website, also i read his policies and he seems to be on the up and up…look how many duplicates there are of myspace,youtube,eBay,etc..there’s literally thousands of duplicated sites yet they all have there perks, come on there letterally thousands of myspace websites yet they all have thousands of memebrs and seem to be making money, the same with the rest..you don’t need to own an exclusive design to be successes you just need to be on top of your game.i think you need to look at some of the other websites being sold on eBay and judge for yourself there,s allot of scammers out there and i don,t think he,s one of them,i still have to say his are the better buy for the buck, his prices are very fair and his design are unique and high qaulity, and he even offers support what more can you ask for,i mean really your not spending a million dollars, what other kind of business can give you your return on your investment in as little as 8 sells, its a win win satiation.Well brandon its been fun.
Richard, You’re not saying anything new. You’re stating that his website “design are unique and high qaulity…what other kind of business can give you your return on your investment in as little as 8 sells, its a win win satiation.”
I agree that this business can give you a return in a short time on a little investment, but this is definitely a sure-fire way to waste your investment with NO return.
If you get 8 sells (nearly impossible) on a duplicate site (no organic traffic) without spending money on traffic (where will it come from?) then you will break even.
That won’t, however, happen any time soon, especially if you’re new to this business and are buying crap sites off of eBay.
